Simple to operate. Pics need to be cropped since the guides take a small bit off the edges but no real issue with that. Worth the price

The image quality from this device was really good and required no post processing. But feeding the negatives using the included holder was very hit or miss if you had to take the holder out to "unstick" a negative.

I needed an inexpensive 35mm scanner to convert family slides to digital records. This scanner is easy to use, and it took me a while to figure out how to go from scan to computer for final editing and color-correcting. The 35mm slide holder works much better with the plastic mounted slides. In general, this is a good home scanner, does what it is advertised to do, and is very reasonably priced.

This little machine does bring your old slides into your digital collection. It works as advertised, but don't try to overdrive it with too large of an SD memory card. You need the 16 GB card and not 32 or even higher. Sounds counter-intuitive, but the problem is that this reader has to be able to digest all of what is on the card, and more than 16 GB is too much to work well. Also, I saw someone's comment about the slide holder being hard to open. That's true until you do what I did and take a simple metal file and shave down the totally unnecessary tab that grabs and holds the two sections together. Just file it off and that problem is eliminated.

Super easy to use and has great results. So far only scanned slides. Results from 35mm were amazing. I made no color adjustments. A lot of my slides were from the '70s and the color was not so good anyway. Photoshop near me wanted 80 cents each to load on a CD. Saved a ton of money using this machine.

This was a purchase made to give my family the opportunity to have all of these amazing memories in a format that we could all share! The unit is very easy to use, the images save on the device or a memory card. I chose the device and then connected to my laptop and downloaded that way. Images look just like on the film, wish I could alter some before saving, but I am sure there are apps for that. All in all I am very happy that I purchased. soon i will takle all those printed pictures.

I used this for scanning negatives and existing photos. Scanning film negatives was easy with the provided holder and the results were pretty good. Nice, clear captures of the negatives. I'm sure slides would work well too. Pretty straightforward use. Slide negatives/photos in and then press scan/save. The only problem is Results of scanning existing photos looked like the equivalent of taking a photo of a photo with your cellphone. Also, Every single photo I tried ended up with a significant glare on it and also captured a lot of the photo tray holder in the capture. Most photos need to be manually cropped in an external application to remove the tray. Slide-able guides on the tray would've provided a better/wider range of sizes

I'd been looking at slide photo scanners for a while. Once you have the images on your computer, it's easy to edit the photos. There are some lighting and tint adjustments that can be done with this unit, but it's easier to do on your phone or laptop. I'm glad I bought this unit. Clean your slides with the tool provided or a camera brush before transferring them to the memory card. make sure your memory card is in the unlocked position (slide control on side of the card). Mine was locked and I was ready to return this unit as defective until I figured out what I'd done wrong. It's a bit of a chore at first, doing one slide at a time, but once you get in a rhythm it goes pretty fast and it is certainly rewarding.

Nice unit. Out of the box, it was not really hard for me to figure out how to use it. Put in an SD card for stand-alone use. Connect up the power and then press the "Power" button. The unit lights up and then press the "Left" or "Right" buttons until you find what you want to do (Film, Resolution, Language, USB, Capture, Format, etc) then press the "Convert/Mode" button. Pretty simple.
